About Us

Located in Henrietta, Texas, we are a small rural business. In 2020, we purchased our small North Texas hobby farm, "Mabel Acres." Our namesake comes from our first baby mini donkey, our beloved "Mabel." Mabel Acres is home to six mini donkeys, 2 bunnies, 1 big dog, 5 cats, lots of chickens, and 2 long-time sweethearts-Daryn & Annie. 

Daryn works full-time as a civil engineer and Annie spent 10 years in public education as a junior high math teacher. After a decade in the classroom, Annie traded in her red pen for a feed bucket and halter. 

Daryn enjoys restoring vintage vehicles, building most anything, hunting, and a plethora of other engineering-minded projects. Annie enjoys all things "pretty" and loves to put an artistic spin on many of Daryn's projects.
